In the upcoming weeks, CODECS Living Labs (LLs) will commence their Demonstration farms and events. These activities are designed by CODECS partners to showcase the digital technologies used within the network of LLs.
Demonstration Handbook
To ensure the effective demonstration and adoption of these technologies, a CODECS Handbook of Demonstration of digital technologies was published in 2023. It is a comprehensive tool designed to empower Living Labs in orchestrating, executing, and gathering feedback on demonstrations of digital technologies within the agricultural domain.
Published by ACTA – Les Instituts Techniques Agricoles, the Handbook offers practical guidelines and demonstration training kits meticulously crafted to streamline the organisation of both physical and virtual demonstrations. Tailored specifically for the agricultural context, these resources equip lecturers, practitioners, and enthusiasts with the tools necessary to showcase the transformative power of digital technologies in farming practices.
The methodologies encapsulated within the Handbook will facilitate the organisation of demonstration events, but they also serve as conduits for valuable insights. By engaging participants and stakeholders, LLs can evaluate perspectives on the conduciveness of digital ecosystems, users’ technology readiness, and perceptions regarding the costs and benefits of digitalisation in agriculture, in line with the project’s overarching goals.
CODECS Demo farms & Demo events
CODECS Demonstration activities will represent an opportunity for technology assessment by stakeholders, targeting both farmers and advisors. Demonstrations that will take place during the demo events will serve the purpose of providing farmers and advisors with alternatives to their working methods and help them consider other technological options.
