In its commitment to advance digital agriculture, CODECS is proud to announce the launch of its Knowledge Accelerator (KA). Serving as a pivotal outreach arm of the project, CODECS KA stands as a network dedicated to fostering knowledge co-creation through a multi-faceted and cross-cutting approach.
What is CODECS KA?
The CODECS KA is a space dedicated to supporting stakeholders in evaluating the impact of digital agriculture on sustainability goals. Functioning as a nexus for peer-to-peer learning, and knowledge exchange, this network welcomes participants engaged in digital agriculture, rural development, and policies spanning local to European levels. This includes policymakers, research networks, rural organisations, scientists, civil society groups, advisors, local action groups, enterprises, and representatives from EU-funded projects.
How does the CODECS KA operate?
The CODECS KA is structured around three key pillars:
- Science-Policy Interface: gathers scientists and policy actors allowing for exchanges and joint construction of knowledge with the aim of enriching decision-making.
- Demonstration Farm Network: tests and demonstrates digital technologies for learning purposes.
- AKIS Network: fosters collaboration to produce knowledge in digital agriculture.
By utilising these pillars, the CODECS KA strives to promote knowledge co-creation, enable stakeholder collaboration, and maximise the project’s impact beyond its immediate scope.
CODECS KA acceleration activities
The CODECS KA will conduct eight acceleration actions, including thematic webinars, online summer courses, and science-policy interface meetings. These activities aim to disseminate results and progress from the CODECS project to a broader audience.
The first CODECS KA webinar on “Sustainable Digitalisation – Shaping the Future of Agriculture” will take place on 25 January 2024. This event will delve into how CODECS fosters sustainable digitalisation, highlighting the project Digital Platform. Moreover, insights from additional Horizon Europe projects will provide a holistic perspective on digitalisation in agriculture.
Another acceleration activity is already foreseen for February 2024, with the first science-policy interface meeting. Stay tuned for more information on this event, which promises in-depth discussions and insights at the intersection of science and policy.
