The Living Lab LIT OUESTEREL is an association located in Western France. Its primary objective is the harmonization of farming systems with society, by enhancing animal welfare, improving working conditions and reducing the use of antibiotics, all while ensuring good herd health. We are actively engaged in three regions: Bretagne, Normandie, and Pays de la Loire, where we focus on three main species: poultry, pigs, and cattle.
Collaboration lies at the heart of our efforts, as we work closely with around 60 partners from different background, including research, advisory services, veterinary services, etc. All our partners share the same ambitious goals as ours.
Our demonstration farms, which serve as practical examples of our principles in action, are located in Bretagne and are owned by our partners, INRAE (experimental farm of St Gilles) and IFIP (experimental farm of Romillé).
